Is not only because of his enhances senses that Genesis notices every micro-reaction. All his focus is on Sephiroth now. It wouldn't be the first time, at some point, the authority the other had over his attention enraged him, because Genesis desired too much, sometimes contradicting himself to the point of desperation. Now, on the same side, his wants and needs seem clearer. Like breathing fresh air after a season under the sea.

Weird. He hasn't felt like that in ages. He has been drowning for so long, he distantly thinks that if this doesn't pull him out, he will take them both to the ocean's abyss.

And yet, Sephiroth's hand is still warm. Genesis doesn't even register the cadet. The girl is funny, and Zack is someone Genesis even thinks about calling by his full name. That's all.
